Australian MG Sengelman and New Zealand All Black Owen Franks visit West Point

West Point Rugby welcomes MG Stenglemen

West Point, NY - The West Point rugby team was very fortunate to host Major General Sengelman, Commander Forces Command of the Australian Army. MG Sengelman was visiting West Point last week and as an avid rugby enthusiast and player stopped by to see the Anderson Rugby Complex and also visit with the team prior to training. MG Sengelman provided the team with some very encouraging and motivational words before a tough session on Wednesday.

We were also priviledged to host current New Zealand All Black and World Cup winner Owen Franks at training. Owen spent the day seeing West Point and then participated in training with the players, providing them with some very insightful knowledge with his expertise in the front row. Owen was on vacation in the New York area and took a day to visit the National Treasure that is the United States Military Academy.
